The Photography

In 1997 I started doing photography on "Life in Sonora, Mexico."  I use mostly black and white film.  I normally enlarge the photos to about 16x20, sepia tone or archive with a selenium toner,  This gives me the effect I desire and is perfect for framing with native woods such as old barn wood or for classical studio framing.  My Sonora exhibit opened at the Museo Costumbrista in Alamos, Sonora Mexico in November 1998.  The Institute of Culture of Sonora, Mexico requested many of my photos for their permanent collection.

Aside from the work I have done in Mexico, I also have archives of photographic exhibits on Desert Storm and Life in the Streets, representing a wide variety of subjects, from street people to military.  If you are interested in my photography, please contact me, a.gringo@gte.net.
